About the Recipe


¾ cup of garden cress seeds(halim)

  • 1 tbsp ghee

  • ½ cup chopped jaggery (gur)

  • ¼ cup semolina (suji)

  • 1 tbsp grated coconut

  • ¼ cup powdered almonds (badam)

  • Method:

  • Soak the garden seeds in ½ cup water for 3 hours. Do not drain the water.

  • Heat ghee in a non-sticky deep pan, add the soaked cress seeds, jaggery, semolina,mix well and cook on a medium flame till the jaggery melts. Stir continuously.

  • Add coconut and almonds, mix well.

  • Let the mixture cool and then divide the mixture to make laddus, in the shape of round balls.
